The Quechua people are actually made up of 13 nations: Karanke, Natabuela, Otavalo, Kayambi, Kitu Kara Panzaleo, Chibuleo, Salasaka, Waranka, Puruha, Kanari, Saraguro Kichwa and the Amazon. The Quechua are the family of the largest Native American peoples, and is present in Peru but also in Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador and in parts of Chile and Argentina, constituting an estimated population of 8 to 12 million people.
